How do I know whether I need a gas furnace, central air conditioner, central heat pump, or ductless system?
What HVAC unit is right for you depends on the size of your home and its existing infrastructure. For example, when it comes to deciding on a furnace or a heat pump, you will need to make sure you have a gas line installed. If you do, a furnace will work, as heat pumps only use electricity. In terms of a central air conditioner or a ductless system, you will first need to determine if your home has air ducts.
